REC PDCL forms two SPVs for new transmission projects in Maharashtra

REC Power Distribution Company Limited (REC PDCL) has set up two special purpose vehicles (SPVs) to develop upcoming transmission projects in Maharashtra.
On March 28, 2025, Jejuri Hinjewadi Power Transmission Limited was incorporated. It will implement the Network Expansion scheme in Maharashtra for removal of Transmission constraints in Pune Region-I & providing supply to Data Centre Loads.
The second SPV, Velgaon Power Transmission Limited, was incorporated on March 29, 2025. It will handle the Establishment of 400/220 kV Velgaon Substation (GIS).
Both SPVs have been formed as part of efforts to strengthen the regional transmission infrastructure.
