Alpex Solar secures Rs 450 million order for solar water pumps

Alpex Solar has won a Rs 450 million order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to supply 2,000 solar-powered water pumps under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump scheme.Â
The pumps will be manufactured at Alpex Solar’s facility in Greater Noida, which has recently expanded to a 1,200 MW capacity.
Founded in 1993, Alpex initially specialized in the international trade of synthetic yarns and knitting machinery components before shifting to renewable energy. The company first entered wind power generation as an independent power producer (IPP) and later transitioned into manufacturing solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. Â
