JUWI Renewable to begin construction on solar projects in South Africa

JUWI Renewable Energies will commence construction on three major private solar projects in South Africa, with a combined capacity of 340 MW and investments exceeding $320 million.
The projects will serve key players in the mining, data centre, and energy sectors, including Glencore, Teraco, Sasol, and Air Liquide.
Together, the projects will generate over 1 million MWh of clean energy annually. The facilities include a 120 MW solar PV plant for Teraco Data Centres, a 120 MW solar PV facility for Sasol and Air Liquide, and a 100 MW solar PV plant that will supply clean energy to Glencore Mine’s ferrochrome smelters. The latter is being developed in partnership with Pele Green Energy, while TotalEnergies, Mulilo, and Reatile Group are collaborating on the other two projects.
JUWI Renewable Energies offers project development services, covering the planning, construction, and operation of renewable energy plants.
The company currently operates and maintains 9 large renewable energy projects across Africa, totalling 574 MW and generating nearly 1 million MWh of electricity annually.
