KPI Green Energy Limited has won Coal India Limited’s auction to develop a 300 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar project at Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat. 

The contract, valued at Rs 13.11 billion, includes the design, engineering, procurement, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the project.

The scope also covers the transportation and transit insurance of PV modules designed for a 1,500V system voltage, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance for five years. 

The project is required to deliver a minimum capacity utilisation factor of 28 per cent.

Separately, in October 2024, KPI Green signed power purchase agreements with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for renewable energy projects totalling 620 MW, secured through competitive bidding.
