GUVNL concludes 500 MW BESS and 200 MW wind power auctions

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has announced the results of its 500 MW/1,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) auction under Phase IV.
H.G Infra Engineering secured 250 MW at Rs 225,985/MW/month, while Advait Infratech won 50 MW at Rs 226,000/MW/month.
Kintech Synergy and Bhilwara Energy were awarded 100 MW each, quoting tariffs of Rs 225,985/MW/month and Rs 225,993/MW/month, respectively.
The tender, initially floated in October 2024 for 400 MW/800 MWh, was expanded to 500 MW/1,000 MWh with viability gap funding (VGF) capped at Rs 2.7 million/MWh or 30% of the project’s capital cost.
In a separate auction for 200 MW of grid-connected wind power projects under Phase VIII, GUVNL awarded 50 MW to Juniper Green Energy at Rs 3.56/kWh, 40 MW to RIH Renewables at Rs 3.59/kWh, and 50 MW to Jakson Green at Rs 3.63/kWh.
