REC incorporates two subsidiaries for transmission projects in Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has announced the incorporation of two new wholly owned subsidiaries: Mahan Transmission Limited and Kurnool-IV Transmission Limited.
Mahan Transmission Limited will oversee the Transmission System for Evacuation of 1230 MW Power (MPPTCL portion) from the 2×800 MW thermal power project of Mahan Energen Ltd.
Kurnool-IV Transmission Limited will manage the Transmission System for Integration of Kurnool-IV Renewable Energy Zone (Phase-I, 4.5 GW), a project allocated by the Ministry of Power via a gazette notification dated September 19, 2024.
REC PDCL has been appointed as the bid process coordinator (BPC) for the selection of a transmission service provider (TSP) for the establishment of the projects through tariff tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process.
