Siemens has introduced SIMOCODE M-CP, an advanced motor management product series designed specifically for motor control centres (MCC). The SIMOCODE M-CP expands Siemens’ existing portfolio with compact, future-proof technology optimized for MCCs across various industries, including chemicals, infrastructure, mining, and water management.
Key Features of SIMOCODE M-CP:
Compact and Flexible Design: The device is optimized for withdrawable units in switchboards, offering both front panel and DIN rail mounting options to save space and reduce installation costs. The basic unit includes six digital inputs and four relay outputs, minimizing the need for additional modules.
Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) Communication: The SIMOCODE M-CP uses SPE technology, ensuring fast and reliable data transmission over just two wires, reducing complexity and enhancing communication efficiency within MCCs.
Future-Proof Adaptability: The system can be tailored to operational needs through licenses that unlock additional features, such as condition monitoring and advanced motor current signature analyses (MCSA). AI integration is also available to detect anomalies and damage, enhancing reliability and extending motor service life.
Sustainability Focus: Siemens emphasizes sustainability with SIMOCODE M-CP by using recycled materials in production and packaging. The product’s diagnostic functions improve system availability, while long-term firmware updates keep it up to date, ensuring a long service life.
SIMOCODE M-CP sets a new standard in motor management, offering efficient, flexible, and scalable solutions for industries ranging from pulp and paper to steel and wastewater management.
