Alpex Solar is set to establish a 1.6 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Kosi Kotwan, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of Rs 6.42 billion. The expansion will be carried out in three phases, with the first 500 MW expected to become operational by October 2025, and the remaining phases completed by April 2026 and September 2026, respectively.

The company has secured a seven-acre land parcel from the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) for the project. The investment will be funded through a mix of bank loans, financial institutions, internal accruals, and equity infusion.

In addition to the solar cell manufacturing plant, Alpex Solar will set up a 1.2 GW solar PV module facility at the same site, expected to reach full capacity by Q3 FY25.
