Waaree Renewable Energy Technologies Limited, formerly known as Sangam Renewables Limited, has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) worth Rs 1,142.3 million. The contract covers engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works for a cumulative 94 MW/131.6 MWp decentralised solar power project in Maharashtra.

The award was granted on May 16, 2025, under the “Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0”. The project is part of Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) programme.

The scope of work includes development, design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and long-term operation and maintenance (O&M). The project will support feeder-level solarisation to supply daytime power to agriculture consumers.

Completion is targeted by March 2026.

This initiative aligns with the Government of Maharashtra’s goal to solarise 30 per cent of agricultural feeders. The state plans to set up 7,000 MW of decentralised solar projects under the MSKVY 2.0 scheme.
