Waaree Energies clarifies status of Enel Green acquisition

Waaree Energies has responded to reports on the possible collapse of its planned acquisition of Enel Green Power India, stating that the agreement remains under discussion.
In a filing dated 19 August 2025, the company said it had signed a Share Purchase Agreement on 10 January 2025 with Enel Green Power Development S.r.l for the purchase of Enel Green Power India Private Limited.
Waaree noted that while the agreement included standard terms and conditions, certain commercial aspects are currently being reviewed. Discussions are ongoing, and the company said it will provide updates in line with regulatory requirements.
