Viviana Power Tech Limited has received a letter of intent from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) to develop a 100 MW/200 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) across Bhopalgarh and Jodhpur in Rajasthan. The project is part of RRVUNL’s 1,000 MW/2,000 MWh BESS tender issued under the second viability gap funding (VGF) scheme.

The company will implement the project under a build-own-operate model at an estimated cost of Rs 3.02 billion over a 12-year contract period. It will receive VGF support of Rs 360 million, bringing the total project value, including taxes, to Rs 3.72 billion.

The BESS project aims to strengthen grid reliability and enhance renewable energy integration in Rajasthan, a state that continues to lead in large-scale solar and wind deployment.

In a separate development, Viviana Power Tech has also secured a supply order from Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) for constructing a 400 kV transmission line spanning 6.62 km to support a wind power project in Gujarat.
