Vikram Solar Private Limited has secured a contract for the supply of 326.63 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for the 500 MW Khavda Solar PV Project – Phase XX in Gujarat. The project is being developed by Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) in the Rann of Kutch district.
Awarded on May 12, 2025, the contract covers the manufacturing, testing, packing, transportation, and insurance of 540–570 Wp bifacial PV modules. The modules are expected to be delivered by October 2025.
GIPCL had invited bids in September 2024 for the supply of modules to set up a 500 MW/625 MWp solar PV project. This project forms part of the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) Phase XX Solar Power Projects.
GIPCL had earlier won 500 MW/625 MWp capacity in GUVNL’s Phase XX auction held in May 2023, at a tariff of Rs 2.73 per kWh. GUVNL had floated bids for 800 MW capacity with an additional 800 MW greenshoe option.
The project is being developed under the build, own, and operate (BOO) model at Khavda Solar Park (GIPCL Stage 3) and is scheduled for completion by December 2026.
