Vestas has announced new contracts totalling 134MW for wind turbine projects in Europe as part of its Q4 2024 order intake.
In Italy, Vestas received a 26MW order from Alerion San Marco for the Valico Casone Cocca project. It will feature three V150-6.0 MW and two V117-4.2 MW turbines, with a ten-year Active Output Management (AOM) 4000 service agreement. Delivery is planned for Q4 2025, with commissioning in Q1 2026.
In Spain, an undisclosed customer placed a 50MW order for 11 V150-4.5 MW turbines. Delivery is expected in Q3 2025, with commissioning in Q1 2026, under a ten-year AOM 4000 service agreement.
In France, Vestas will supply 20 turbines for a 59MW project, combining V136-3.45 MW in 3MW mode and V126-3.45 MW in 3.6MW mode. The deal includes a 25-year AOM 5000 service agreement, with delivery and commissioning scheduled for 2026.
Additionally, Vestas secured 225MW of wind turbine orders in the US, Germany, and New Zealand in December 2024.
In the US, Brookfield Renewable ordered 86MW for the Mulqueeney project with V163-4.5 MW turbines under a ten-year AOM 5000 agreement.
Vestas also won a major contract for the 1.1GW Inch Cape offshore wind project in Scotland. The agreement includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of 72 V236-15.0 MW turbines.
