Uttar Pradesh advances with development of 3,710 MW solar parks 

Uttar Pradesh is advancing the development of several large-scale solar projects, including nine solar parks with a combined capacity of 3,710 MW. Of these, three parks with a total capacity of 435 MW have already been commissioned, and land allocation for all nine parks has been finalized.

The solar parks are located across various regions, including Bundelkhand (Jhansi, Lalitpur, Chitrakoot, and Jalaun) and in Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Mirzapur, and Prayagraj. The bidding process for the parks currently under construction is underway, and substantial investments have been secured for their development. Among the nine parks, those with capacities of 365 MW and 65 MW have been commissioned, with more to follow.

The ongoing projects include solar parks with capacities of 600 MW in Jhansi and Lalitpur, 800 MW in Chitrakoot, 1,200 MW in Jalaun, 75 MW in Kanpur Dehat, and 35 MW in Kanpur Nagar, all at various stages of progress. Tenders for the parks in Lalitpur, Chitrakoot, and Jalaun are expected to be issued soon.
