Transrail Lighting Limited has completed its greenfield expansion at the Butibori tower manufacturing plant, which has now begun commercial production. The move forms part of the company’s strategy to scale its manufacturing presence in the power transmission and distribution sector.
The company also reported partial completion of brownfield expansions at its existing facilities in Deoli, Baroda, and Silvassa. These upgrades are aligned with ongoing efforts to optimise output across its manufacturing network.
Following the commissioning of both greenfield and brownfield expansions, the company’s total installed tower manufacturing capacity has increased from 84,000 Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) to 1,72,400 MTPA. The expanded capacity is expected to support higher domestic and international demand for transmission line towers.
