Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to develop up to 7,000 MW of renewable energy projects.
Under this partnership, TPREL and the Andhra Pradesh government will explore solar, wind, and hybrid projects, with or without storage solutions.
The agreement, signed in Amaravati, involves an estimated Rs 490 billion investment, making it one of the state’s largest renewable energy initiatives.
The projects, part of Andhra Pradesh’s Integrated Clean Energy (ICE) Policy, will support the state’s clean energy transition while boosting jobs and economic growth.
TPREL will conduct feasibility studies and development assessments, while the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) will support site identification and infrastructure facilitation.
