Purvah Green Power secures LoA for 300 MW hybrid power project

Purvah Green Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of CESC Limited, received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL) on December 30, 2024.  The project involves developing 300 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects across India to supply power to NPCL. In November 2024, NPCL invited bids for power procurement under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mode.

TNGECL plans 100 MW wind-solar hybrid projects in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) plans to develop 100 MW cumulative wind-solar hybrid power projects in the state. The projects are expected to be set up on a design, build, own, operate, and transfer (DBOOT) basis in Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari districts. TNGECL is preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for the initiative.

Rajasthan signs agreement with BrightKnight for wind-solar hybrid projects

The Government of Rajasthan (GoR) has signed an agreement with BrightKnight to establish wind-solar hybrid power projects in the state.  As part of the agreement, BrightKnight has committed to investing Rs 150 billion to set up over 2,000 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity in Rajasthan.

Sembcorp to build 300-MW wind-solar hybrid project for NTPC

Singapore-based Sembcorp Industries has been awarded the contract to build, own, and operate a 300-MW wind-solar hybrid power project for NTPC, as part of NTPC’s 1.2-GW renewable energy bid.  The project will connect to India’s inter-state transmission system and is scheduled to commence commercial operations within 24 months. Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) has selected JSW Neo Energy, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), Avaada Energy, and Juniper Green Energy as the winners of its 1,650 MW wind-solar hybrid auction.
