Coal India Limited (CIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AM Green Ammonia (India) Private Limited to set up 4,500 MW of wind-solar hybrid power capacity in India. Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) is planning to develop a 300 MW wind-solar hybrid power project with an energy storage system (ESS) in India.  The project is estimated to cost Rs 15 billion. RVNL is exploring potential locations for the project in Bihar, Jharkhand, or Karnataka.  The company will oversee infrastructure development, including transmission systems, while partnering companies will provide expertise in technology, solar modules, and wind components.

Serentica Renewables India Private Limited (SRIPL) has signed a power supply and consumption agreement (PSCA) with Inox Airproducts Private Limited for 75 MW of wind-solar hybrid power. The agreement was formalised on May 5, 2025. Purvah Green Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of CESC Limited, received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL) on December 30, 2024.  The project involves developing 300 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects across India to supply power to NPCL. In November 2024, NPCL invited bids for power procurement under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mode.

TNGECL plans 100 MW wind-solar hybrid projects in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) plans to develop 100 MW cumulative wind-solar hybrid power projects in the state. The projects are expected to be set up on a design, build, own, operate, and transfer (DBOOT) basis in Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari districts.
