FREYR Battery to acquire Trina Solar’s US manufacturing assets
FREYR Battery has signed an agreement to acquire Trina Solar’s 5 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Wilmer, Texas. The acquisition is expected to be finalised by the end of 2024. The Wilmer plant, which began production on November 1, 2024, is slated to reach full capacity by 2025, with 30 per cent of its output already under firm contracts with US customers.
