Delhi to install rooftop solar on 989 buildings

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is planning to install rooftop solar power systems on 989 of its municipal buildings. The initiative will be implemented by NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model. The rooftop systems are expected to have a combined capacity between 10 MW and 15 MW. Chandigarh to launch rooftop solar projects under RESCO model

The Chandigarh Renewal Energy and Science and Technology Promotion Society (CREST) will roll out rooftop solar installations on government-built properties using the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model. UPNEDA revises capacity for distributed solar projects

The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has amended the capacity for grid-connected distributed solar power projects under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model from 3,205 MW to 2,553.5 MW. In July 2024, UPNEDA issued Request for Selection (RfS) bids to select Solar Power Generators (SPGs) for setting up 3,205 MW of grid-connected solar projects.
