Adani Transmission and DigiSmart Networks bid for Goa’s smart metering

Adani Transmission Limited (ATL) and DigiSmart Networks Private Limited have submitted bids to serve as the Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Provider (AMISP) for smart prepaid metering in Goa.  The project, under the Goa Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), will follow a design, build, finance, own, operate, and transfer (DBFOOT) model. Assam and Bihar lead in smart meter installations under RDSS

Assam and Bihar are leading states in smart meter installations under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), with a total of 7.54 million smart meters installed across India.  This includes 7.30 million consumer meters, 0.18 million distribution transformer (DT) meters and 0.06 million feeder meters.  The total number of smart meters sanctioned under RDSS stands at approximately 2.03 billion, indicating that only 3.7% of the meters have been installed so far. An analysis based on a Lok Sabha reply has revealed that Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu are the top three states with the highest project cost sanctioned under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).  Uttar Pradesh leads with Rs 405.68 billion worth of projects sanctioned, followed by Maharashtra with Rs 324.24 billion and Tamil Nadu with Rs 288.03 billion. Jaipur Discom invites bids for feeder segregation projects under RDSS

Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam has invited bids for the segregation of 11 kV mixed feeders at JPDC North Circle in Rajasthan.  The project, under the RDSS scheme, involves the supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of material and equipment.  The estimated cost for TN-553 is approximately Rs 1.28 billion.
