SJVN and Bihar to develop 1,000 MW pumped storage project

SJVN Limited and the Government of Bihar (GoB) signed an MoU on December 31, 2024, to develop the 1,000 MW Hathidah-Durgawati Pumped Storage Project and other similar projects in Bihar.  The 1,000 MW (4×250 MW) Hathidah-Durgawati project will be built on the Durgawati River in Kaimur, Bihar, at an estimated cost of Rs 56,630 million.
