NTPC to commission Unit-III of North Karanpura power project by March 2025

NTPC Limited plans to commission Unit-III of the North Karanpura (Pakri Barwadih) Power Project by March 2025. The project, located near Tandwa town in Chatra district, Jharkhand, involves three units of 660 MW each and is being developed at an investment of Rs 151.64 billion. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the project.

NTPC to set up green hydrogen mobility project in Bhubaneswar

NTPC Limited has signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO) and Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) to promote green hydrogen mobility in Bhubaneswar.  Under the agreement, NTPC will establish a green hydrogen fuelling station and deploy hydrogen-powered buses for short- and long-distance routes, replacing fossil fuel-powered buses to support decarbonisation and energy security.  The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has partially funded the project.
