Six hydropower projects in Northeast marked as vulnerable
The Union Power Ministry has identified six major hydropower projects in the Northeast as vulnerable. According to Minister of State for Power Shripad Naik, the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) classified these projects as vulnerable because they are situated above 1,500 metres and located as the first projects in their respective river basins in the upper Himalayan region.
