Waaree Group starts electrolyser plant construction in Gujarat, expands solar cell capacity

Waaree Group has started the construction of its alkaline electrolyser manufacturing facility in Valsad, Gujarat, with an initial production capacity of 300 MW.  The plant will support industries like steel, refining, transportation, fertilizers, chemicals, food, and power generation in their transition to decarbonised processes.  The factory will produce high-efficiency, durable electrolysers for large-scale green hydrogen production, featuring low power consumption and flexible operations, along with automated assembly lines for electrolyser stacks. GUVNL concludes 500 MW BESS and 200 MW wind power auctions

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has announced the results of its 500 MW/1,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) auction under Phase IV.  H.G Infra Engineering secured 250 MW at Rs 225,985/MW/month, while Advait Infratech won 50 MW at Rs 226,000/MW/month.  Kintech Synergy and Bhilwara Energy were awarded 100 MW each, quoting tariffs of Rs 225,985/MW/month and Rs 225,993/MW/month, respectively. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has been awarded the inter-state transmission system (ISTS) project to evacuate power from the renewable energy zone in the Khavda area of Gujarat under Phase-V (8 GW), Part A.
