Nepal exports Rs 13.04 billion worth of electricity to India in 5 months

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has exported electricity valued at Rs 13.04 billion during the first five months of the fiscal year 2024/25. From July 16 to December 15, 2024, approximately 1.76 billion units of electricity were sold to India, primarily during the rainy season. BHEL sees 23% growth in order inflows in H1FY25

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) reported a 23% increase in order inflows in the first half of FY25, reaching Rs 41.09 billion, up from Rs 33.48 billion in H1FY24. The power sector led the order bookings, contributing 93% of the inflows.
