EWEC initiates bidding for 1,500 MW Zarraf Solar PV project in Abu Dhabi

EWEC to develop 4.5GW renewable energy projects in Abu Dhabi

Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) has received approval to develop four new renewable energy sites in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The sites, covering around 75 km², will accommodate solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy projects. Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) has received three bids for its new 1,500 MW Khazna Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Independent Power Project in Abu Dhabi.  The bidders include ENGIE, a consortium led by EDF Renewables and Korea Western Power (KOWEPO), and a joint consortium of Jinko Power and JERA.
