The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) of Andhra Pradesh has approved investment proposals worth Rs 183.58 billion for setting up 2,087.6 MW of renewable energy projects across the state. NTPC plans 20,000 MW transmission project in Andhra Pradesh

NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced plans for a 20,000 MW transmission project in Andhra Pradesh.  This project is intended to support NTPC Green’s forthcoming green hydrogen hub, which will be developed across 647.49 hectares at Pudimadaka.  The transmission network will connect NTPC’s proposed solar project in Anantapur to the hydrogen hub, establishing a dedicated renewable energy (RE) system to facilitate the growth of green hydrogen production.

Andhra Pradesh leads LED streetlight installations under SLNP

Andhra Pradesh has emerged as the top state in LED streetlight installations under the Street Lighting National Programme (SLNP), according to a recent Parliament reply.  Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State for Power, stated that 13.1 million LED streetlights had been installed nationwide as of November 7, 2024. NTPC to establish seawater-to-green hydrogen plant in Andhra Pradesh

NTPC Limited is setting up a one-tonne per day seawater-to-green hydrogen plant at its Simhadri facility near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
