Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has secured new domestic orders worth about Rs 3,550 crore, led by a large solar EPC package from Coal India Limited.

The company said it has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for a turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for an 875 MW AC grid-connected solar photovoltaic project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The contract value, including operations and maintenance (O&M) and taxes, is estimated at around Rs 3,490 crore.

In addition, SWREL has won an order from a private Indian Independent Power Producer (IPP) for a 50 MW AC solar project in Maharashtra.

With these additions, SWREL’s total EPC order inflow for FY26 has crossed Rs 10,062 crore, exceeding its initial target for the year. The company stated that the orders were secured in the normal course of business.

“This marks our first project with Coal India, and we are pleased to support their entry into the renewable energy sector,” said Mr. Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group. “Closing FY26 with over Rs 10,000 crore in EPC order inflows is a strong finish to an eventful year. India’s renewable development trajectory remains robust, and we are well-positioned to sustain this growth momentum.”
