Sterlite Electric appoints Frederic Trefois as group CEO

Sterlite Electric Limited has appointed Frederic Andre M Trefois as its group chief executive officer, the company said in an announcement.
Trefois earlier served as a non-executive independent director on the company’s board. He brings experience in overseeing and managing companies and will lead the next phase of growth at Sterlite Electric.
Prior to this role, Trefois was associated with SĂ©cheron Hasler group and SNC-Lavalin Inc. He holds a degree in civil engineering.Â
Pratik Agarwal, managing director of Sterlite Electric, said Trefois’ global perspective and sector experience would support the company’s growth as power grids evolve to handle increasing complexity and scale.
Trefois said energy systems are becoming more digital and interconnected, and grids must become more intelligent and resilient. “We will build solutions that help customers optimise asset performance, improve reliability, and make smarter capital investment decisions, while keeping sustainability embedded in how we design and deliver infrastructure,” he said.
