SJVN Limited has concluded its 600 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power auction, awarding capacity to four developers at tariffs ranging from Rs 3.64 to Rs 3.65 per kWh. KPI Green Energy Limited secured the largest share of the auction with 300 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.64 per kWh.

Under the auction results, Urdhvaga was awarded 120 MW and Adyant secured 110 MW, both at a tariff of Rs 3.64 per kWh. Lambent Energy obtained the remaining 70 MW at Rs 3.65 per kWh through the bucket-filling method.

The selected developers will develop the wind power projects and construct the associated transmission infrastructure up to the designated interconnection or delivery point. In addition, project developers are required to install and maintain GPS-enabled automatic weather stations at their project sites to support performance monitoring and operational management.

SJVN Limited issued the tender for 600 MW of ISTS-connected wind power capacity in September 2025. The procurement forms part of efforts to expand renewable energy generation and improve grid integration. Connecting these projects to the ISTS is expected to enhance electricity availability, strengthen grid reliability, and support higher renewable energy penetration in the national power system.

The competitive tariff range and participation from multiple developers indicate continued interest in India’s wind energy sector. The auction also contributes to capacity addition targets outlined in the National Electricity Plan (NEP).
