SJVN Limited has appointed Parthajit De as Whole-time Director (Finance) on its board, effective March 19, 2026. The appointment, for a five-year term, was made by the Ministry of Power (MoP) and disclosed to stock exchanges on the same day.
De joins SJVN from NHPC Limited, where he spent over 27 years across project locations and the corporate office. In his most recent role, he headed the Corporate Accounts and Policy section, the Corporate Tax Cell, and the Employment Benefit Trusts. He also served as a nominee director on the board of Loktak Downstream Hydroelectric Corporation Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NHPC.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, United Kingdom. His experience includes corporate accounting, taxation, tariff regulations, and implementation of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), which he led at NHPC during 2016–17.
Following this appointment, Sipan Kumar Garg, who had been holding additional charge as Director (Finance) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has relinquished both roles.
