Six companies have won bids to set up a total of 816 MW capacity under the 1,200 MW ISTS-Connected Solar Power Project (NTPC-02) anywhere in India, as announced on December 23, 2024.
- Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) won 150 MW with a tariff of Rs 2.55 per kWh.
- Onward Solar Power Private Limited secured 50 MW with a tariff of Rs 2.59 per kWh.
- ReNew Solar Power Private Limited (ReNew Power Ventures Private Limited) was awarded 300 MW with a tariff of Rs 2.6 per kWh.
- Illuminate Hybren Private Limited (Mahindra Susten) secured 120 MW with a tariff of Rs 2.6 per kWh.
- Adyant Enersol Private Limited (Datta Power Infra Private Limited) won 100 MW with a tariff of Rs 2.6 per kWh.
- Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon Private Limited (DRAIPL) won 96 MW of the 300 MW it bid for, quoting a tariff of Rs 2.7 per kWh.
NTPC Limited issued the tender in August 2024, inviting bids for 1,200 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power projects anywhere in India, with an additional 600 MW greenshoe option. The project will be executed on a build, own, and operate (BOO) basis.
