Serentica appoints Satish Kumar Rathor as COO for solar and BESS

Serentica Renewables (Serentica) has appointed Satish Kumar Rathor as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business, strengthening its leadership team as it scales clean energy supply to industrial consumers.
Rathor brings nearly three decades of experience across nuclear, thermal, and renewable energy sectors. In his new role, he will oversee Serentica’s solar and storage operations, with responsibility for project execution, operational scale-up, and delivery of round-the-clock clean energy solutions. His experience includes large-scale project execution, operational optimisation, and integration of clean energy technologies.
He joins Serentica from KEC International, where he served as Vice President and led renewable energy projects across India. Over his career, he has held roles across multiple energy companies, with a focus on managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
Akshay Hiranandani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Serentica, said Rathor’s experience across conventional and renewable energy will support the company’s expansion of its solar and storage portfolio and enhance its ability to deliver reliable power to industry.
Rathor said he will focus on scaling operations, strengthening execution capabilities, and delivering clean energy solutions. He added that Serentica is positioned to support industrial decarbonisation in India.
Serentica focuses on providing firm renewable energy to industrial customers across the country.
