Sembcorp to build 300-MW wind-solar hybrid project for NTPC

Singapore-based Sembcorp Industries has been awarded the contract to build, own, and operate a 300-MW wind-solar hybrid power project for NTPC, as part of NTPC’s 1.2-GW renewable energy bid.
The project will connect to India’s inter-state transmission system and is scheduled to commence commercial operations within 24 months.
This project will boost Sembcorp’s renewable capacity in India to 5.4 GW. Globally, Sembcorp’s renewable energy capacity has reached 16 GW, including 49 MW from an acquisition underway.
