Seftech India Private Limited and Suryam International Private Limited have secured Letters of Award (LoAs) for developing 28 MW solar power projects in Chandrapur and Majri areas of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Maharashtra. 

Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), invited bids in June 2024.  

  • Seftech India received an LoA worth Rs 255.25 million for a 5 MW solar project on 12 hectares near Durgapur OC check post in Chandrapur.
  • Suryam International secured an LoA worth Rs 1.14 billion for a 23 MW solar project on 42 hectares at Navin Kunada (13 MW), Telwasa (5 MW), and Dhorwasa (5 MW) in Majri.

The scope includes design, engineering, supply, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and 10 years of operation and maintenance (O&M) for the grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) plants.
