Three major solar contracts have been awarded, adding new capacity across different segments. RMC Switchgears Limited and Insolation Energy Limited have secured rooftop solar projects in Rajasthan, while GP Eco Solutions India Limited has won an EPC contract for a large-scale solar project.
RMC Switchgears’ Rs 3.2 billion rooftop solar project
Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) awarded RMC Switchgears a Rs 3.2 billion contract on March 15, 2025, for a 50 MW rooftop solar project. The installations will be set up on government buildings in Jaipur and Dausa districts. The project includes Rs 2.29 billion for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and Rs 0.91 billion for operation and maintenance (O&M). RMC Switchgears will also manage 25 years of comprehensive O&M under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM). Bids for the project were invited in December 2024.
