Resonia secures Ananthapur-II REZ transmission project; PFCCL sets up SPV for Pune expansion

Resonia Limited, formerly Sterlite Grid 32 Limited, has won the bid for the “Transmission System for Integration of Ananthapur-II Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Phase-I” project. The contract was awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process in 2025.
The company will develop the project under a special purpose vehicle (SPV) on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis for 35 years.
Meanwhile, PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL) has incorporated a new SPV, NES Pune East New Transmission Limited, for the development of the “Network Expansion scheme in Maharashtra for removal of Transmission Constraints in Pune Region-I (765/400 kV Pune East).”
The Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited has issued a letter of intent and appointed PFCCL as the bid process coordinator to select a transmission service provider for the project through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.
