Ravindra Energy Limited (REL) received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for setting up 44 MW of decentralized solar power projects in Maharashtra on January 16, 2025.
The project involves the development of 44 MW across 15 substations of MSEDCL for feeder-level solarization under MSKVY 2.0, part of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) program. The power generated will be supplied to MSEDCL under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at a tariff of Rs 3.1 per kWh.
The Centre will provide Rs 462 million in Central Finance Assistance (CFA) for the project. This initiative supports the Government of Maharashtra’s goal to solarize 30% of agricultural feeders with 7,000 MW of solar power projects by 2025.
