Rajesh Power Services Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for developing a 65 MW / 130 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility at Virpore in Gujarat.

The company informed the stock exchanges about the award on January 5, 2026. The project forms part of Phase VII of a tariff-based competitive bidding process and will receive Viability Gap Funding supported by the Power System Development Fund (PSDF).

According to the regulatory submission, the project is a component of a broader 2,000 MW / 4,000 MWh BESS programme being implemented in Gujarat. Work will begin after the signing of a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA), with completion targeted within 18 months from that date.

The filing stated that a domestic entity has awarded the order and is not classified as a related party transaction. The company noted that the Letter of Intent has been received in the normal course of business.
