Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) has issued a tender to establish a 500 MW/1,000 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) with an additional greenshoe option of 500 MW/1,000 MWh. The deadline for bid submissions is December 16, 2024.
The capacity will be distributed across multiple sites, including the Giral Lignite Power Project in Barmer, the Suratgarh Thermal Power Station, and substations in Sakatputa, Kota, and Jaipur.

B.Grimm Power has signed 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) for a total of 323.3 MW across eight solar projects in Thailand. The agreements, involving B.Grimm’s subsidiaries and joint ventures, have commercial operation dates scheduled between 2026 and 2030. Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has issued a tender for 26.75 MW of decentralised, ground-mounted, grid-connected solar projects under Component A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) program. Bids are due by November 25, 2024. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) has floated a tender seeking the supply of 5,000 tonnes (5 KTPA) of green hydrogen annually for its Visakh Refinery. The tender period is set for 25 years, with the bid submission deadline on January 21, 2025.
