Advait Energy signs hydrogen MoUs, wins Power Grid crane order

Advait Energy Transitions Limited informed exchanges on February 7, 2026, that its subsidiary, Advait Greenergy Private Limited, signed three non-binding Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the India Energy Week held from January 27 to 30, 2026. The MoUs cover hydrogen storage systems with V J Industries, Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) and Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) electrolyser technology with CENmat, and AEM electrolyser-based opportunities in India with Power to Hydrogen, Inc., through JESCO as its exclusive representative. The company stated that all MoUs are non-binding and that regulatory disclosures will be made only if definitive agreements are signed. Separately, on February 6, 2026, Advait Energy was confirmed as the L1 bidder for a Power Grid Corporation of India Limited contract worth Rs 1,96,21,180, inclusive of taxes, for procuring a Centre Tower Crane under a vendor development programme.

ACME Solar confirms 301 MW FDRE-VII win, adds wind capacity in Gujarat

ACME Solar disclosed on February 6, 2026, that it had secured a 301 MW/1,204 MWh assured peak supply project under the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy Phase VII tender. The award raises ACME Solar’s total contracted portfolio to 8,071 MW across solar, wind, storage, hybrid, FDRE, and round-the-clock solutions. The project requires supply during four identified non-solar hours daily, to be met through integrated solar and battery energy storage systems, with a formal Letter of Award expected shortly. In a separate filing dated February 7, 2026, the company said its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Private Limited, commissioned an additional 4 MW of its Titoda wind project in Gujarat, taking cumulative commissioned capacity to 76 MW.

Bajel Projects wins two Power Grid contracts worth over Rs 400 crore

Bajel Projects Limited announced on February 6, 2026, that it secured two contracts from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited valued at over Rs 400 crore. The first ‘Large’ order, valued between Rs 100–200 crore, involves the extension of the 765/400/220 kV Mandsaur Pooling Station in Madhya Pradesh under a renewable energy interconnection scheme, with completion scheduled in 18 to 30 months. The second ‘Ultra Mega’ order covers the construction of an 87.3 km, 765 kV double-circuit transmission line between Vindhyachal Pool and Prayagraj, with a 21-month execution timeline. Bajel Projects said both contracts were awarded by PGCIL on behalf of its special purpose vehicles and are arm’s length transactions. The company also reported EBITDA of Rs 87 crore and revenue of Rs 1,784 crore for the nine months of FY26.

PFC board approves in-principle merger with REC, exits PTC India board

Power Finance Corporation Limited disclosed on February 6, 2026, that its Board approved an in-principle merger with its subsidiary, REC Limited, following the Union Budget 2026–27 announcement on restructuring the two NBFCs. PFC holds a 52.63% stake in REC, acquired in 2019, and both entities stated that the merged company will continue to qualify as a Government Company under the Companies Act, 2013. The detailed merger scheme will be disclosed after regulatory and statutory approvals. On the same day, PFC also approved the withdrawal of its nominee director from the board of PTC India Limited and the surrender of all related promoter rights, acting on an Office Memorandum from the Ministry of Power.

India Energy Stack Taskforce releases version 0.3 framework

The India Energy Stack Taskforce under the Ministry of Power released Version 0.3 of its strategy and architecture documents, outlining progress toward a unified digital public infrastructure for the power sector. The project is scheduled for completion by July 2026 and aims to enable secure data exchange and interoperability across utilities, market participants, and consumers. Version 0.3 emphasises consumer and prosumer participation through consent-based data sharing and interoperable digital services. REC Limited is steering the initiative as the nodal agency, with FSR Global acting as the knowledge partner.

Saatvik Solar secures Rs 9.63 crore domestic PV module order

Saatvik Green Energy Limited informed exchanges on February 6, 2026, that its subsidiary, Saatvik Solar Industries Private Limited, received and accepted a domestic solar PV module supply order valued at Rs 9.63 crore. The order was placed by a domestic independent power producer and engineering, procurement and construction player and has been classified as a commercial order. The company stated that the transaction is not a related party transaction and that promoters have no interest in the awarding entity. The order is scheduled to be executed by February 2026.

SJVN’s Rampur hydro station achieves fastest 2,000 MU generation

SJVN Limited announced on February 6, 2026, that its 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh achieved cumulative generation of 2,000 Million Units on February 5, 2026. The company said this milestone was reached nine days earlier than its previous best in February 2020 and represents the highest generation performance in the plant’s eleven years of operation. Management attributed the achievement to disciplined operations, effective coordination, and strong maintenance practices. SJVN also acknowledged support from central and state authorities.

ACEN takes full control of Indian renewables platform

ACEN Corporation has acquired full ownership of its renewable energy platform in India by purchasing UPC Renewables’ stake through its subsidiary, ACEN Renewables International Pte. Ltd. The transaction gives ACEN 100% control of an 819 MWac portfolio across Rajasthan and Karnataka, along with a development pipeline of nearly 7 GW. ACEN said the move strengthens India’s position as a core market, supported by long-term offtake contracts and a stable regulatory environment. The transaction concludes ACEN’s partnership with UPC Renewables in India.

Hindustan Zinc, JNCASR develop zinc-ion battery prototypes for grid storage

Hindustan Zinc Limited, in collaboration with the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, has developed stable zinc-ion battery pouch cell prototypes for large-scale renewable energy storage. The partners said the work focused on improving electrode and electrolyte materials to enhance cycle life and stability under realistic operating conditions. Zinc-ion batteries are positioned as a lower-cost, safer alternative for stationary storage, despite lower performance metrics than lithium-ion systems. The development supports India’s indigenous research on alternative energy storage technologies.

DEE Fabricom secures Rs 90 crore wind tower order, largest to date

DEE Development Engineers Limited announced on February 6, 2026, that its subsidiary, DEE Fabricom India Private Limited, received a letter of intent for a windmill tower supply contract valued at around Rs 90 crore. The order, the largest in the subsidiary’s history, is from a domestic customer and is scheduled for execution between May 2026 and January 2027. The announcement coincided with the company’s Q3 FY26 results, reporting revenue of Rs 286.7 crore and a net profit of Rs 18.6 crore. As of December 31, 2025, DEE Development reported a closing order book of Rs 1,302.73 crore.
