Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has approved the issuance of unsecured, non-convertible, non-cumulative, redeemable, taxable bonds under its 82nd issue for 2025-26. The decision was taken by the company’s Committee of Directors for Bonds on August 5, 2025.
The total size of the issue is up to Rs 5,000 crore, comprising a base size of Rs 1,000 crore and a green shoe option of Rs 4,000 crore. The bonds, proposed to be listed on both BSE and NSE, will be redeemable at par after 10 years, with interest payments made annually. The coupon rate will be determined through bidding on the Electronic Book Provider platform.
