Plenitude, through its US subsidiary Eni New Energy, has signed an agreement with EDP Renewables North America LLC to acquire a 49% equity stake in two photovoltaic plants and an electricity storage facility under construction in California, US.
The projects include the Sandrini 100 and Sandrini 200 solar farms, along with the Sandrini BESS storage facility. These plants share grid connection infrastructure and have a combined installed capacity of 499 MWdc, with Plenitude’s share amounting to 245 MWdc.
EDP Renewables North America LLC, a leading developer of wind, solar, and energy storage projects, has developed over 12 GW of projects in North America and is present in eight regions worldwide. Plenitude, operating in over 15 countries, combines 4 GW of renewable energy production with energy sales and solutions for 10 million customers across Europe.
