PGCIL awards Rs 6.3 billion contracts to Siemens and CG Power

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has awarded two contracts under its bulk procurement programme for 765 kV and 400 kV class transformers and reactors.
The first contract, valued at Rs 3.17 billion, was awarded to CG Power & Industrial Solutions Limited for the 765 kV Reactor Package 7RT-21-BULK. The package covers 30×80 MVAR, 765 kV, single-phase reactors. Two bids were received, with CG Power emerging as the lowest bidder. GE Vernova T&D India Limited also qualified for this tender.
The second contract, worth Rs 3.16 billion, went to Siemens Energy India Limited for the 765 kV Reactor Package 7RT-20-BULK. This package includes 30×110 MVAR, 765 kV, single-phase reactors. Four bids were submitted, with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, CG Power & Industrial Solutions Limited, GE Vernova T&D India Limited, and Siemens Energy India Limited qualifying.
Both contracts were finalised on July 31, 2025.
