Patel Engineering Limited (PEL) has received a Letter of Award from Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) for Package 1 of the Renukaji Dam Project, valued at Rs 910.08 crore including GST, converting its lowest bidder position secured in February into a formal contract award.
The project is located at Village Dadahu, Tehsil Renuka, District Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh, with a completion timeline of 30 months.

Project context
The Renukaji Dam is a multipurpose storage project on the Giri river, aimed at improving water storage capacity, ensuring reliable water supply, and supporting hydropower generation in the region.
PEL has executed over 85 dams, 40 hydroelectric projects, and more than 300 kilometres of tunnelling works over its seven-decade track record, primarily for central public sector undertakings (PSUs) and state government clients.
