NVVN awards 66 MW solar projects to Kirloskar Solar and Oriana Power

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has awarded contracts totalling 66 MW of solar capacity to Kirloskar Solar Technologies and Oriana Power. The projects, valued at Rs 2.91 billion, will be developed across multiple Indian states. NVVN invites proposals for 7.2 MW rooftop solar project for Assam Rifles

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has released a tender for the installation of 7.2 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems across 26 Assam Rifles buildings in Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam.  The bid submission deadline is December 2, 2024.  The project scope covers design, engineering, supply, civil construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and the inclusion of a solar module cleaning system, remote monitoring, and ten years of operation and maintenance.

BHEL secures contract for Telangana Stage-II thermal power plant

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has secured a contract from NTPC Ltd to establish the main plant package for the 3×800 MW Telangana Stage-II supercritical thermal power plant.  The contract encompasses design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, commissioning, and civil construction.  BHEL has received a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) from NTPC to commence basic engineering work for the main plant package. India issues 11,098 MW in renewable energy tenders, draws $103 mn in October investments

In October, India’s renewable energy sector surged with 16 new tenders, totalling a capacity of 11,098 MW.  Auctions allocated 6,316 MW to various developers, pushing India’s total renewable capacity beyond 200 GW, including large hydro, while total electricity generation capacity reached 452.69 GW.  Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka led in renewable installations.
