The Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has partnered with Tata Power Renewable Energy to promote rooftop solar adoption under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana.Â
The initiative targets residential customers to raise awareness and implement cost-effective solar energy solutions across Odisha.Â
The scheme will be executed through four power distribution companies (DISCOMs), with awareness drives in high-footfall locations such as airports, malls, and railway stations.Â
Key cities in the initial phase include Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Paradip, Berhampur, Sambalpur, Balasore, and Rourkela, with plans for statewide expansion.
