NTPC invites bids for DPR preparation of 800 MW PSP in Maharashtra

NTPC Limited has issued a tender for the preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) for an 800 MW pumped storage project (PSP) in Amba, Maharashtra. The last date for bid submission is November 16, 2024. Bidders are required to provide an earnest money deposit of Rs 5 million and meet financial criteria, including a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 189.7 million over the last three years and net worth at least equal to 100% of their paid-up share capital.

The DPR must ensure maximum power generation at a competitive tariff, efficient water usage, and optimized overall costs. Bidders must have prior experience in preparing a DPR for a hydroelectric or pumped storage project of at least 100 MW capacity.

This follows NTPC’s recent commissioning of a 160 MW solar project in Rajasthan and its tender for 1.2 GW of power supply from wind-solar hybrid projects in India.
