NHPC net profit falls 14.68% to Rs 34.12 billion in FY25

NHPC Limited reported a standalone net profit of Rs 34.12 billion in 2024-25, down 14.68% from Rs 39.99 billion in the previous year. The decline was partly due to one-time provisions and arbitration-related expenses.
Total income rose 6.69% to Rs 117.29 billion, up from Rs 109.94 billion in 2023-24. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 89.94 billion.
For Q4 FY25, NHPC posted a net profit of Rs 8.94 billion. Total expenses for the year reached Rs 67.14 billion.
The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.51 per share, in addition to the Rs 1.40 interim dividend paid in March 2025. This brings the total dividend for the year to Rs 1.91 per share.
