NGEL and SCCL sign MoU to develop renewable energy projects

NTPC Green Energy Limited has signed an MoU with The Singareni Collieries Company Limited to work together on renewable energy development. The agreement was signed on November 19, 2025 in Hyderabad and will focus on solar, wind, and hybrid projects, along with other green technologies.

The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Sh. N Balram, Chairman and Managing Director of SCCL, and senior representatives from both sides. The partnership marks a coordinated effort to expand clean energy capacity.

The agreement covers a broad set of renewable initiatives. Both companies will assess opportunities to develop solar, wind, and hybrid systems, with the option to integrate energy storage.

The collaboration will also study projects linked to Green Hydrogen and related derivatives, along with green mobility applications. These areas are seen as important for national plans to reduce emissions across the energy and industrial sectors.
